Call for Applications for MQA Discretionary Grants (2019 – 2020)
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) for the mining and minerals sector in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998.
The first application window for Discretionary Grants allocations, for the period 01 April 2019 to 31 March 2020, will open on Monday 17 December 2018 at 08H00. Employers and other stakeholders in the sector are invited to submit their applications for the following projects:
- Work Experience
- Internships
- Management Development Programme
- Research Partnerships
- TVET and CET College Partnerships
- TVET College Support – NCV Level 4 Graduates
- Mine Community Development
- Unemployed Youth Development
- Small Scale Mining Programmes
- Adult Education and Training
- OHS Representatives Development and Other Health and Safety Programmes
- Artisan Development Programme
- Artisan Aides Programme
- Non-Artisan Learnerships (Core)
- Non-Artisan Learnerships (Beneficiation)
- Non-Artisan Learnerships (People with Disabilities)
- Non-Artisan Learnerships for Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)
- Learning Material Development

Completed application forms must be submitted via e-mail to grants@mqa.org.za before 00H00 on Thursday 21 February 2019.
