Vision
A competent, health and safety orientated Mining and Minerals workforce.
Mission
Ensure that the Mining and Minerals sector has sufficient competent people who will improve health and safety, employment equity and increase productivity.
In order to successfully achieve the above, the MQA has established and maintains a Quality Management System based on the ISO 9001:2008 standard, and will adhere to all other Statutory and Regulatory requirements, placed through Acts of Parliament.
We commit ourselves to maintaining and improving the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system implemented at the MQA.
In addition we will ensure that the employees of the MQA understand, implement and maintain the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system requirements.

Quality Objectives and Measurements
1. The MQA complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements; e.g. Employment Equity Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Skills Development Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act.
Measures: Submission of Employment Equity Report to DoL, OHS audits iro of compliance, submission of annual and quarterly reports on NSDS performance to DHET, NLRD upload to SAQA and SSP’s.
Customer Satisfaction; The MQA will ensure that customer expectations are met by continuously improving processes, updating systems and services.
Measures: Customer Relations Management Report (which include customer surveys and evaluation of events), ISO audits, Management Review meetings
2. To improve training and development of learners in the Mining and Minerals Sector
Measures: ETQA audits to ensure monitoring and evaluation of training provision, Review of qualifications, provide relevant learning programmes, identification of skills development needs in the mining and minerals sector.
