MEMORANDUM
TO: The Mining and Minerals Sector Employers and the MQA Accredited Training Providers

The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is hereby reminding all companies in the Mining and Minerals Sector who were given Learnership grant allocations for the 2007 - 2008 financial year that the cut off date to register the Learners (employed and unemployed) in line with the allocations made to companies in March 2007 is 31 January 2008.
As communicated to companies in March 2007, all grant allocations not utilized by the cut date will be forfeited by the companies. Learnership Agreement hard and electronic copies that are submitted on the MQA after the cut off date will be processed but will not be considered for grant purposes.
Note: The MQA will be making a call for new (2008-2009 financial year) Learnership Grants applications in January 2008.
