In the Occupational Qualifications Regulations of 2009, the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) will make use of Occupational Qualification Development Facilitators (OQDF) to facilitate the design and development process for occupational qualifications, curricula and qualification assessment specifications.
This memo serves to invite industry stakeholders to nominate persons to be considered as OQDFs for the mining and minerals sector. Persons who have been nominated will undergo formal training to be declared competent. They will be certificated with the National Skills Certificate for occupational qualifications development (Occupational Qualification Development Facilitator-Skills Level 5), OFO code: 249101001. This will enable a person to register with the QCTO as an OQDF.
Companies who wish to nominate persons must complete the attached OQDF nomination form which illustrates the criteria to be used by constituencies when considering persons for nomination. The nomination form should be forwarded to Bafedile Raseroka on e-mail BafedileR@mqa.org.za or be delivered in person to the MQA office.
