Subject: Submission of Artisan Learnership Agreements for 2010 – 2011
The MQA has approved artisans’ grants for all employers that complied with relevant grant criteria as stipulated in the prevailing policies. All qualifying employers were given approval letters for grants allocated to them.
The next step was for companies or providers to submit Learnership agreements to MQA with certified supporting documents, to date there are companies that were allocated grants but have not submitted even one Learnership Agreements to MQA, in some instance companies do not claim such grants and this results in a liability for MQA.
This communiqué serves to request companies to submit Learnership Agreements for their artisan learners registered in this financial year to MQA on time, MQA wishes to advice all host employers that agreements for this financial year 1st April 2010 -31 March 2011 will be accepted only until the end of February 2010. Grants approved in this financial year must be claimed from MQA or the employer will forfeit the grants.
