INVITATION TO THE MQA STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT FORUMS
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) would like to extend an invitation to its stakeholders to the Stakeholder Engagement Forums during February and March 2011.
Target audience
Registered levy and non-levy paying companies
Accredited training providers
Skills Development Facilitators in the mining and minerals sector
Subject matter experts in the mining and minerals sector
Skills development representatives or professionals in mining companies
Regional State (DHET, DoL, DMR), Labour and Employer groups involved in skills development
Provincial Skills Development Forum (PSDF) representatives with an interest in mining
Individuals involved in small scale mining
The purpose of the Stakeholder Engagement Forums is to inform and engage with the sector on key issues including amongst others:
The new National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS)
Discretionary grant allocation opportunities in 2011 (including learners with disabilities)
Artisan development opportunities for those unemployed, retrenched workers and individuals in the sector that contribute to the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF)
